Westbrook Historical Society and Museum of Connecticut is a museum and research center for local history, they also sponsor events, speakers and a yearly arts & craft fair. It is located on the town green in an old library. The history of Westbrook is displayed in chapters through time beginning with Native Americans, then farmers, mariners and boat builders, businesses, clothing fashions, civic organizations such as schools, churches, bands, orchestras and onto the beach life in the early days.
The Westbrook Historical Society is a volunteer-led nonprofit 509 (a) (2) organization dedicated to sharing Westbrook’s history through continued research, collections, programs, and publications.
