SCENIC ROADS LEGAL NOTICE State Project No. 0173-0485 INSTALLATION OF SIGNS ON HORIZONTAL CURVES ON STATE ROADS-DISTRICT 3 SCENIC ROUTE 1 TOWN OF MADISON Pursuant to Section 13b-3ld of the General Statutes of the State of Connecticut regarding scenic roads, the Commissioner of Transportation announces the in- stallation/upgrade of horizontal curve warning signs along U.S. Route1 in the Town of Madisorn State Project No. 0173-0485 is one of four projects that will systemically review horizontal curves onall State-owned and maintained roads in Connecticut. The purpose of this project is to reduce the number of fatal and serious injury crashes at curves with consistent treatment based on national best practices. The proj ect w install/upgrade horizontal curve signs as well as remove any horizontal alignment signs on curves where signs are no longer warranted. All work will be performed within the State's right of way. Construction for this project is anticipated to begin in Fall 2019 Written statements or comments related to this scenic road should be addressed to: Erika B.
