Donna Williston settled in the Mystic community over 30 years ago and created, with the help of her husband at the time, The Finer Line Gallery and Framers of the Lost Art in 1985 followed by The Artware Store in 1991. She also founded the Downtown Committee of the Mystic Chamber and Mystic’s Mayday Festival. She is one of the founders of the Mystic River Park and served as its Capital Campaign Chairman helping raise over a million dollars for the Park’s creation. In addition, she served as Board President for the Mystic Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Mystic Rotary Club. She also served as a scout leader for over ten years and is the proud parent of her two Eagle Scouts, Christopher & Matthew Williston who live and work in Stonington and Boston respectively. As it celebrates its 33rd anniversary this year, The Finer Line Gallery continues to offer affordable art, art supplies, classes and expert custom framing with an eye towards design.
